| The subjects of this paper are technicians of entrepreneurial Internet companies in Beijing.This research adopted the BEI to interview 20 technicians of Entrepreneurial Internet companies.The survey was composed of 87 open-question questionnaire competency items,which built the initial competency model of technicians of Entrepreneurial Internet companies,and then followed by a formal self-evaluation questionnaire,which produces term and exploratory factor analyses of forecasts.At the end of the research,the competency model of technicians of Entrepreneurial Internet companies was constructed by using confirmatory factor analysis,aligned by the characteristics,reliability and validity of 442 questionnaires.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The competency model of technicians of entrepreneurial Internet companies is multi-dimensional with four main factors:Professional growth,responsibility,achievement orientation and adaptability.(2)The Self-Assessment Questionnaire of Technicians of Entrepreneurial Internet Companies has reasonable reliability and validity to build up a competency model in respect of psychometrics.(3)The competency model for technical staff working in start-up companies varies in demographic variables like the category of job positions or the years of work experience.Among these,the professional growth factor has a significant difference between technical staff compared to the other positions;the amount of work experience has a certain impact for technical staff working in start-up internet company;while gender or educational level factors has no virtual impact for the competency model. |
