In recent years,radar and communication technology have made significant progress.With the increasingly complexity of electronic countermeasure environment,higher requirements would be needed for the system integration and performance.Joint radar and communication has become the trend of integrated electronic information system.The waveform design of integrated radar and communication system is the foremost step,because it directly affects the structure and signal processing method of the transmitter and receiver,as well as various performance indicators of the systems.Therefore,this thesis considers the waveform design of joint radar and communication system as the main job,and then analyzes both of its radar and communication performance.The main contents of the work are summarized as follows:(1)Research and summarize existing integrated radar and communication waveforms,analyze their advantages and disadvantages.Study the main design principles and signal multiplexing method,existing integrated waveforms are divided into single-carrier system and multi-carrier system.Some integrated radar and communication waveforms are summarized and the design idea of integrated waveforms are pointed out.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the radar and communication performance,future research direction and optimization methods of the integrated waveform design are pointed out.(2)Communication-Embedded OFDM Chirp signal is studied,and the closed form expression of MIMO radar ambiguity function is derived in monostatic MIMO radar scenario.Based on the communication-Embedded OFDM Chirp radar signal,both communication performance and radar detection performance are simulated and analyzed.From communication aspects,we mainly study the peak to average power ratio and the system error rate,and make comparisons with traditional OFDM signal.In the scenario of monostatic MIMO radar,we derived the mean ambiguity function of the waveform,including the self-ambiguity function and the mutual ambiguity function,and finally deduce the closed form of the ambiguity function.(3)Under the background of vehicular radar and vehicular communication,the performance of OFDM integrated radar and communication waveform is studied.The radar detection performance of the waveform is analyzed by FFT-based processing.By analyzing the research progress and key technology of current vehicle radar and vehicle communication technologies,this thesis uses OFDM signal integrated radar and communication and studies its trade-off performance.The FFT-based processing method eliminates the influence of randomness of communication data on radar detection.The range resolution and speed resolution of the OFDM signal in the vehicle scene are obtained by studying the range-velocity two-dimensional radar image,and the influence of waveform parameters on the radar detection performance are also studied.(4)Based on the LabVIEW software,simulation and verification platform of OFDM system transmitting and receiving module are built.According to the modulation and demodulation principle of OFDM system,the transmitting and receiving of OFDM system is realized with LabVIEW software,both the VI hierarchy structure of each module and the realization method of each function sub VI are analyzed,and the reliability of the system is verified by simulation examples.
