Nowadays,with the rapid development of wireless communication technology,there is an increasing demand for high gain,miniaturization and low cost antennas.As a new type of planar lens antenna,Fabry-Perot resonator antenna has attracted wide attention because of its excellent characteristics such as high-gain and so on.The main research jobs and results in this thesis include the following three aspects:(1)In this thesis,the working principles and resonant requirements of Fabry-Perot resonator antenna are studied.According to these theories,the resonant cavity can be resonated at 8.5GHz and 11.5GHz by carefully designing frequency selective surface and the EBG structure,and the antenna gain can be raised to16.2dBi.In addition,the feeding of antenna can be simplified to a single coaxial,and the profile of the prototype has reduced to nearly one-sixth of the operating wavelength.(2)A triangular air-coupled circularly polarized antenna as a feed is applied to Fabry-Perot resonator antenna.By the combination of partially reflecting surface which is symmetrical,this design achieves high-gain circular polarization.By optimization,the maximum gain of the antenna has reached to 18.7 dBi which is higher than conventional single-feed antenna.In this design,the bandwidths for S11?-10 dB,gain-drop?3dBand axial ratio?3dB and all have reached more than 3.5%.(3)Due to the constraints of the resonant requirements,the narrowband of the Fabry-Perot resonator antenna has been a disadvantage of this antenna.At the last of this thesis,a novel partially reflecting surface structure is proposed to achieve the characteristic of broadband successfully.Compared with the traditional broadband Fabry-Perot antenna,the profile of the antenna has been reduced because of its structure of single resonant cavity,and the reflective characteristics of partially reflecting surface is also superior to the common.The measured result is similar to the simulated result.The maximum gain of this antenna can reach to 14.2dBi,and the bandwidths of-10 dB impedance and 3-dB gain are all more than 15%.
