Different from the traditional lasers emitted from conventional reflector cavity,the optical feedback of RLs is provided solely by multiple scattering within the gain medium.Since Letokhov proposed random lasers(RLs)in theory,RLs have been extensively studied and applied.In order to improve the efficiency and control the direction of RL,researcher have used one-dimensional of fiber confining RLs system to obtain high efficiency,low threshold and directional RL,and birthed into a fiber random laser.Due to the absence of cavity,controlling over the emission wavelength and directionality is lost,which seriously hinder prospects for this otherwise simple laser.Therefore,the control of RL has also become a problem.This dissertation mainly studies the RLs control in the wavelength and polarization in the polymer optical fiber,and random polymer fiber laser with tunable property can been obtained.The research as follows:(1)Controlling the disorder of polymer optical fibers(POFs)to control the random laser emission wavelength.The disorder of the polymer fiber can be controlled by changing the core dopant.The type and concentration of the core dopant will affect the disorder degree.The disorder degree determines the scattering mean free path(ls),which affects the random laser emission wavelength.(2)Temperature online control polymer optical fiber random laser(POFRL)emission wavelength.POF has a large negative thermal coefficient that can be linearly controlled by the temperature,thereby achieving an online temperature controlled RL emission wavelength.(3)Controlling the polarized RL emission from an oriented disorder POF.Preparation of oriented POFs with controlled temperature.RL polarization controlled by ls and fiber length.(4)Modulating POFRL polarization characteristics by Magneto-optical.The POF disorder with magneto-optical nanoparticles is used to control the polarization angle of RL based on the Faraday rotation theory.A variety of methods used to control the RL emission,which promote the development of random laser control.
