Single-frequency fiber lasers have been widely used in variety of applications such as laser medical,optical fiber communication,optical fiber sensors,and laser radar because of their compact structure,narrow output linewidth and good coherence.Distributed Bragg reflector(DBR)single-frequency fiber laser has become one of the research focuses in the field of fiber laser due to a lot of advantages.In this paper,we demonstrate a single-frequency,short-cavity DBR fiber laser operating at 1064 nm and 1030 nm by using a highly Yb-doped silica fiber,respectively.The main contents of this thesis as follows:The influence of different parameters on the reflection spectrum of the fiber grating was studied by using the coupled-mode theory.On the basis of this,the relationship between these parameters and the reflection bandwidth,central wavelength and peak reflectivity of fiber grating was analyzed.In addition,the temperature characteristics of the grating fiber were theoretically introduced.A stable short cavity single-frequency DBR fiber laser operating at]064 nm was achieved by using a 1.1 cm long highly Yb-doped silica fiber.The efficient cavity length of the fiber laser was about 2 cm.With a precise temperature control,the linewidth was measured to be 4.8 kHz.The maximum output power of the DBR fiber laser was 13 mW with a slope efficiency of 3.4%relative to the launched pump power of 378 mW.The output power of the DBR laser was scaled up to 191 mW with a slope efficiency of 46.8%by using a master-oscillator power-amplifier stage.We demonstrated a short cavity single-frequency DBR fiber laser with efficient cavity length of 2 cm operating at 1030 nm.The single-frequency fiber laser was fabricated with 1.1 cm long highly Yb-doped silica fiber,and the maximum output power was measured to be 163 mW with the linewidth of 6 kHz.The efficiency of the fiber laser was 27%relative to the launched pump power of 600 mW.In addition,with the aid of the residual pump power of fiber laser,the output power of the DBR fiber laser was amplifed to 306 mW with a slope efficiency of 51.5%.
