In recent years,fields of navigation,communication,and Internet show more and more urgent demands for high-precision atomic clocks.Aluminum ion quantum logic clock is one of the hotspots in optical frequency standard.Aluminum ion which is sympathetically-cooled by calcium ions is chosen as our physical reference system and a series of key technology researches has been carried out.My work is summarized as follows:1.A laser setup for ion production using laser ablation has been established.The loading,cooling and detection of calcium ions have been achieved with this setup.After optimizing the ablation laser's energy,RF power and other parameters of this experimental device,the time of preparation single calcium ion was reduced from 10-20 minutes to less than 10 seconds comparing with using an atomic furnace.2.A setup of bidirectionally temperature-controlled F-P reference cavity used in narrow linewidth laser system is established.The zero expansion coefficient temperature point of the reference cavity was measured using a femtosecond comb,and the temperature control accuracy at this temperature point reaches ± 5 mK/day.After implementing PDH frequency stabilization,the average linear frequency drift was controlled within 100 mHz/s.The device has been successfully used for calcium ion sideband cooling experiments.
