Vacuum electronic devices play an important role in microwave electronic systems and are widely used in the military and civilian areas,and grow rapidly.The research process of vacuum electronic devices involves some new,complex nonlinear problems,conventional linear analysis can not get accurate results,but the numerical method,particle-in-cell,PIC,can do this.Nowadays,the method of PIC has been successfully applied in the development of vacuum electronic devices,and has become more mature.Because the simulation process is time-consuming and inefficient,the development of this approach has been limited.On the other hand,taking into account the good parallelism of the PIC method,we try to use parallel technology to optimize the particle simulation algorithm in parallel and improve the efficiency of simulation.Currently,Multi-core computers are very popular,Intel Threading Building Blocks(TBB)is used as an open source parallel development tool that can take full advantage of multi-core processor resources,the program modules for parallel optimization greatly to ensure full use of available simulation program without breaking existing simulation program,and good compatibility..Therefore,based on PIC algorithm and multi-core Intel TBB parallel technology,this paper makes a serial simulation study on vacuum electronic devices firstly,and uses particle simulation software MAGIC to verify,and then to the serial simulation program to do some multi-core TBB parallel optimization.The main contents of this paper include:1.Introduce the background and significance of the topic,summarize the development of vacuum electronic devices,PIC methods and accelerated simulation.2.Do a review on the existing parallel approach,elaborate the advantages of the Intel TBB thread building module,and then make a brief introduction to it.3.Do a detailed elaboration of the particle simulation in the method of two-dimensional rectangular coordinate system(2D XY PIC).It mainly includes three modules: electromagnetic field calculation,particle motion calculation,current density calculation.4.Based on the PIC method,completed the design,debugging and testing about the PIC simulation program of the vacuum electronic device,and the simulation software MAGIC is used to verify it.Then,the TBB parallel technology is used to optimize the program in parallel.5.By comparing the serial and parallel results,verifying the correctness and analyzing the parallel effect,and finally forming a set of multi-core TBB parallel solution for PIC simulation.
