Due to the specific architecture and advantageous performance, the quantum-dot photodetector has become one of key devices in detection technique. Readout integrated circuits play an important role between photodetectors and peripherals. In this paper, experiments to test the performance of readout circuits are carried out and optimal designs are discussed. The main researches are as follows:1) Functional tests of readout circuits packaged with photodetectors are carried out in room temperature and cryogenic temperature to test their performance.2) According to the characteristics of quantum-dot photodetectors, capacitor feedback transimpedance amplifier circuit has been proved to be appropriate for the photodetectors as it has little input resistance and steady bias voltage. Two aspects of circuit optimizations are discussed. One is automatic adjustment of integration capacitor, which can change capacitance automatically before the readout circuit becomes saturated. The other is two modes readout based on integration readout and direct readout, which could improve the dynamic range of readout integrated circuits.
