Design And Implementation Of Hotel Reception System

The rapid development of tourism led to the upgrading of the hotel industry, more and more hotels have started information-based management to obtain higher profits. Based on the project during internship, this paper makes a detailed analysis of hotel reception system requirements and introduces design and implementation of this system combined with the experience of the development process. The system uses the ASP.NET MVC 4 framework, C # and SQL Server 2012. The main work of this paper includes the following:1. The current development of the hotel industry and the influx of capital have intensified competition in this field. In this case more and more hotels began to use high integration, business processes and efficient information systems instead of the original manual bookkeeping or existing legacy systems. The system is based on the hotel context of upgrading the existing reception system. The system has always been to target the actual operational basis for the design from the beginning to the acceptance. The main purpose of this article is to make better functionality of the system closer to the content of the daily work of reception staff, so that the system can achieve real hotel information and gain greater profits.2. In this paper, the main work includes preliminary research needs, coding of business implementation process and the system. Firstly, this paper introduces the background of hotel reception, including meaning and main purpose. Then it introduces the special technology used in this system. Combined with working experience of research of demands during internship, make a detailed description of the process of establishing the needs of the project. In the part of the design and implementation, it introduces the architecture of system and the function of each module; then it introduces the design and realization of the database; it also introduces the Entity Framework, but also carefully describes the process of map database into an instance object used by this framework and some common CRUD methods packaging process. The design of system UI introduces implementation process of main UI of this system. Finally, the system was tested, including functional testing, performance testing, and load testing. We designed test case for each testing process. According to the data, charts of testing result, we analysis the performance of the system and put forward the solution to errors and low performance.3. The main purpose of this paper is to develop a safe, convenient, and friendly hotel reception management system, and the company can use this system to standard the process of reception. This system has been on line in several hotels, successfully replaced these ten-years-old systems with the new one. After three months test running, system has been unanimously praised by the staff. At the same time, the system not made any major mistakes, and improved working efficiency significantly for reception staff. It made a good impression on the guests.
