Research On The Influence Of Ankle Stability Training On Male College Students’ Balance Ability

Research Objective:Through observing the changes of body balance before and after proprioception training and resistance training to the male college students’ ankle joints,this research explores simple and practical training methods for strengthening the stability of ankle joints in order to provide inference to researches on scientific exercise training and sport injury of ankle joints.Research Methods:20 male students from badminton majors of Capital University of Physical Education and Sports and of China University of Geosciences were selected and divided into the experimental group(10 people)and the control group(10 people).After 4 weeks’ intervention of proprioception training and resistance training,the changes of body balance were observed under the guidance of several experts and examined by the PC708 balance performance monitor.Research Results:1.After 4 weeks’ intervention of proprioception training and resistance training,it was found that the subjects’ ability of controlling body wavering was improved when they were tested with their eyes closed,which was reflected in the significant decrease of the LFS index(P<0.05).2.After 4 weeks’ training in ankle joints,the subjects in the control group and in the experimental group did not demonstrate obvious changes in static equilibrium when they were tested with their eyes open.This was reflected in the indexes of body swing and the indexes of fine adjustment to body’s center of gravity before and after intervention.3.Through the comparison between data collected from the control group and the experimental group after training,it was found that the LFS index of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).This indicates that the combination of proprioception training and resistance training contributes to a better control of body’s center of gravity than resistance training does.4.After 4 weeks’ stability training intervention for ankle joints,it was found that subject’s ability to control their body’s center of gravity strengthened when they were tested blindfold.However,there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group when they were tested with their eyes open.Conclusions:The resistance training of ankle joints has a good effect on strengthening the ability of controlling body’s center of gravity;the combination of resistance training and proprioception training can significantly improve body’s ability to control center of gravity,which produces a better effect than resistance training alone does.
