Although nowadays people’s living standard has continued to improve in China, the phenomenon of dropping out from school still has not come to an end and even displays a different style in comparison with the previous styles of “dropping out due to poverty” and “dropping out due to bad performance”.Currently,it is many excellent students and smart ones who have stopped their middle school education and to some extent there has even emerged “invisible drop-out”,which refers to a term to define “absence with their names retained on the school roll” or “mind absence in the school”.On the basis of the survey carried out for this thesis,it shows that the society, the family and the school are the chief factors responsible for the new-style drop out.Firstly, there has arisen a social trend of “the uselessness of receiving education” which is the side effect of the vigorous diversification of the Chinese market economy where some self employed people,We-chat businesspersons and E-commerce shoppers with poor educational experience have established themselves well on business by virtue of their short term investment and great support from the local governments.Secondly, the parents and those of rural areas in particular are affected by the trend and inclined to persuade their children to drop out to do business or find a job in the city just for the temporary interests;some of the parents would choose to be indifferent to their children’s short period of maladjustment and passiveness in school which finally contribute to their weariness for study. In addition, some students who are subject to long term family violence or parents’ divorce or being left behind by their parents who have to make a living in the city, are more susceptible to weariness for study and inability to study as a result of their lack affection and defects in formation of character with long absence of the due caring attention.Consequently, the negative impacts from family are most likely to cause students’ end of education and invisible dropping out.Last but not the least, the school also plays a part in the drop outs due to the fact that the increasing pressure in administration and getting more students to enter a higher grade deprive some schools of their effective solutions and coping mechanism for the dropouts.Hence, the above mentioned factors work together to build up an indisputable evidence for the dropping out which should not been ignored. This thesis,on the ground of the new typed dropping out, targets the effective countermeasures for the situation by taking X Middle School in the north of Jiangsu as a sample of the survey and analyzing the causes of its losses of students. The measures are listed as follows: conformity to the educational rules by educators, families and the whole society, especially to the nature of development in their mind and body and the transformation in their qualities of middle school students, more interaction between school and family to give more attention the quality in their school life of the disadvantaged students under unfavorable living and educational conditions, adequate cognition of individual difference in study to relieve them of their difficulty in learning with different teaching methods, and improvement of schooling conditions for rural areas to reach a balanced development in education. Therefore, this thesis is an attempt to appeal for an educational insurance for students to get adequate development in their growth and learning at the time of the course reformation and for reception of individual difference with the same pace in progress in the hope that the compulsory education in the rural areas can be advanced smoothly and the goal of “One Can’t Be Less” set by the government and the division of education will be achieved without obstacles.
