PE teaching methods play an important role in the course of PE teaching.In recent years,the Ministry of Education put forward the fundamental task of "morality education",which has caused a new round of research climax on PE teaching methods by the broad masses of physical educators.The guiding experiential teaching method is a new comprehensive teaching method under the ideology of constructivism teaching.It is to inspire the students’ interest in learning and improveing the students’ initiative and enthusiasm in the classroom,so that students can become a real learning masters,so as to achieve teaching results.Nowadays,there are not many schools in the middle school to set up fencing courses.Fencing teaching is more common with traditional physical education methods.In combination with the current situation of fencing teaching in ordinary middle school and the goal of "mortality education" and "cultivate students’ core literacy",the writer applied the guiding experiential teaching method to the middle school fencing class teaching,through the teacher design and various games,co-practice,to stimulate students’ learning interest about fencing;through the effective communication and mutual help from cooperation activities in the group,the students can acquire direct recognition;in the layered competition,through the teacher’s active guidance,students were able to explore boldly,have the courage to practice,gradually master the technology,and achieve personal learning goals.In the teaching process,the teacher combined information with technology,and evaluated the entire teaching process.In this paper,40 boys in Grade 7 of Nanping Middle School in Zhuhai City,Guangdong Province were studied by means of literature,observation,questionnaire,experiment and mathematical statistics.Twelve hourtime teaching experiments were conducted.Through the contrast experiment of experiential teaching method and the traditional teaching method,the writer drew the following conclusions: the guiding experiential teaching method is conducive to the improvement of physical quality,the achievement of the competition,the team cooperation consciousness and the self-confidence cultivation,and the effect is very remarkable.It proved that this kind of teaching could be widely used in middle school fencing teaching.
