| She folk sports is an important part of the culture in the Chinese nation.Based on social memory theories,inheritance and conservation of She folk sports need the transfer and maintenance of social memory.The associations,a increasingly growing social power,are different from the family form.The associations,as a form and carrier of cultural transmission,have a strong sense of autonomy,providing an important platform for people’s active participation in She folk sports.The associations,virtually spreading and maintaining the social memory theories of the She nationality,have significant functions and values in the inheritance and conservation of She folk sports.The She nationality people have a great passion for sports,forming the rich and distinctive culture of folk sports in production,labor,social life and other activities.The She nationality people take an active part in the associations’ activities,helping to improve good neighborliness and friendship,and enhance solid and lovely ethnic relations,as well as develop national self-confidence,nation pride and nation cohesion.The development of the association is related to the construction of a harmonious society,developing old-line culture and history of the She nationality,promoting cultural diversity conservation and cultural development and prosperity.The paper,based on social memory theories,mainly adopts social memory theory by American scholar Paul connerton,who proposed that commemorative ceremonies and bodily practices are the main ways of social memory transmission.Social memory can be spread and maintained in commemorative ceremonies,which are involved with participation of human body.By means of documentary method,expert interviews,field investigation and logical analysis and so on,based on social memory theories,the paper focuses on the functions and values of the associations in She folk sports from four aspects— inheritance,aesthetic appreciation,communication and identification.It has a far-reaching significance on continuing cultural history and promoting sustainable development of She folk sports. |
