Under the influence of “The Belt and the Road”,the number of people learning Chinese around the world is increasing.These learners have great expectations for learning Chinese.Among them,most of the learners learn Chinese for the purpose of trading.They pay more attention to the practicality of learning Chinese.In order to meet the learning needs of these Chinese learners and improve the quality of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it is very important to choose suitable teaching methods.Through digging into the documents,we know that with the continuous practice of teaching and research by experts and scholars in the field of TCSOL,the teaching method used in class is not limited to traditional instillation teaching.On the basis of the requirements of the teaching program,teachers should pay attention to developing intermediate Chinese learners’ language comprehensive use ability,language expressive capability and communicative capability.In order to actualize this training goal,the thematic instruction is combined with the intermediate Chinese comprehensive course,trying to acquire a perfect teaching effect and improve the quality of teaching in practical teaching.Therefore,under the guidance of thematic instruction,the teaching design of intermediate Chinese comprehensive course is carried out.Before the teaching design,the teaching object,teaching goal,teaching principle and teaching content are comprehensively analyzed,and the guiding effect of thematic instruction in teaching is finally discussed.The paper consists of five parts.The first chapter elaborates the research significance,research means,and the research summary of thematic instruction both at home and abroad.The second chapter is the overview of the thematic instruction,including meaning,characteristics,basic theory and teaching steps.The third chapter is the overall design of the intermediate Chinese comprehensive course based on the thematic instruction.Firstly,it analyzes the feasibility of the thematic instruction in intermediate Chinese comprehensive course.Then,it elaborates the general design thinking of the thematic instruction.The fourth chapter takes the Developing Chinese Intermediate Comprehensive Course(I),the thirteenth text the Three Most Important Things in Life as an example to carry out the teaching design,which runs through the idea of thematic instruction,including the analysis of pre teaching,the specific design scheme and the teaching evaluation.The fifth chapter is the teaching reflection on the teaching effectiveness.It analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the thematic instruction,which applied in the intermediate comprehensive course,and gives some teaching suggestions after the implementation of the teaching.In the conclusion part,the whole teaching design is summarized,and the teaching prospect is put forward.
