| Together with the globalization of economy,more and more countries have more and more cross-cultural cooperation and exchanges.In recent years,the development of media technology enables the media of network to be an important channel for people’s communication.Interviews programs on the network are becoming increasingly popular.Research on interview interpreting is relatively limited.Boao Forum for Asia(BFA)has gained increasing attention from the world.Every year,its annual conference attracts many media to interview people from all over the world.This report is based on the simulated simultaneous interpreting of interviews of speech guests of BFA.The material is typical.The study of the interpreting practice is academically meaningful.According to the characteristics of the language of this interview,which is characterized with colloquialism,loose sentence structures and diversified density of information,and the Chinese cultural-specific words and expressions,the interpreter applies omission,supplement,reorganization and free translation interpreting strategies into the practice.These strategies are analyzed from the perspective of Skopos Theory.According to Skopos Theory,every translational action has its own intended purpose.Generally speaking,the purpose of interpreting is to maximize communication.This report analyzes the interpreting strategies in light of Skopos Theory to see how they overcome the obstacles in the interpreting in order to ensure interviews are interpreted effectively and efficiently.The first chapter presents the background and features of the interpreting practice.The second chapter elaborates pre-task preparation from two aspects and describes the interpreting process.The third chapter gives a detailed analysis of the practice.The fourth chapter summarizes reflections of the practice and points out some limitations,which might be useful for the interpreting training and practice of interpreting trainees. |
