With the deepening of the concept of the rule of law,legal translation is becoming increasingly important.Moreover,the importance of legal translation studies also become increasingly prominent.Legal translation plays an important role in promoting the development the legal system in China.As the foreign-related cases are increasing,the legal translation is sure to attract more attention.In this thesis,I will translate the Part V-Part VI of the Transfer of Land Act 1958 in Victoria Australia.Australia is a country which has the most the complete law system.Australia is the most important country in the Anglo-American legal system,which covers a wide range of legal adjustment object in all aspects of the legal norms.The translation of the Transfer of Land Act 1958 may offer great reference to the civil law system in China.The report is divided into four parts.The first part is the translation task description,including the task background and the nature of the task.The second part introduces the practice of translation,including the preparation of translator and the selection of translators and the selection of translation strategies.The third part is the subject of the practice report,combining with practice from the legal language features,words,sentences and other aspects of how to use the translation theory to solve problems.The fourth part summarizes the post-translation effect,which carries on the post-translation rethinking,summarizes the experience in the legal translation practice,and provides reference for the future translation work.
