The Investigation And Punishment Of Yangzhong Secret Service Station By Yangzhong Government In 1969

After the foundation of People’s Republic of China,the Movement to Suppress Counterrevolutionaries and the movement to Elimination of Counterrevolutionaries broke out.During the war of resistance against Japan,the traitors and spies who had taken part in the Japanese army were exposed in large numbers and punished accordingly.After several political campaigns,some people were not discovered until the Cultural Revolution.In 1969,Yangzhong County Committee Political group organized a task force of the Yangzhong agent station of Wang Jingwei puppet government conducted a comprehensive investigation.In September 1939,Wang ingwei puppet government’s secret service headquarters was established in Shanghai.In the spring of 1941,the Wang Jingwei puppet government established a secret service station in Yangzhong in order to strengthen its control over Yangzhong.It was led by the Zhenjiang secret service station.Yangzhong secret service station has a team leader,including intelligence,investigation teams,security squads,radio and other institutions.Staff generally deployed by the Zhenjiang secret service station,mostly engaged in intelligence work.The intelligence team is responsible for establishing intelligence networks and recruiting intelligence personnel.They are generally local residents of Yangzhong.They have their own jobs besides providing information for the Yangzhong station.They are not full-time intelligence personnel.Among them,ten digital Communist Party members join the secret service station,send false information to the secret service station and inquire cabout enemy intelligence.After the establishment of Yangzhong station,they actively establish information network,collecting military intelligence,the instigation of members.In 1945,on the eve of the Anti Japanese War,Yangzhong station’s work has been stopped,the station staff have left Yangzhong to find another way.Some continue their own work,some join the Communist Party,some join the Kuomintang,others go to cities to look for work.In December 1950,the Movement to Suppress Counterrevolutionaries broke out.Some of the secret service personnel were suppressed or sentenced.Most of them have joined the Kuomintang organizations.Then,the movement to Elimination of Counterrevolutionaries broke out.Communists who have joined secret service stations have been examined.In 1966,the Cultural Revolution broke out.Yangzhong County Committee established political groups.They conducted a survey on Yangzhong station agent.There were 44 people found to be intelligence personnel.Most of them did not take part in secret service activities.Of all the intelligence personnel,13 were suppressed,28 were through labour reform,36 were under control,17 were demoted and dismissed,and 68 were not dealt with.The investigation was comprehensive and true,and only two or more were reported as subjects and identified as members of the secret service station.Others would be excluded.According to the survey regulations,regardless of the reasons for joining the secret service station,its experiences have been recorded as past crimes.So,in addition to a small number of people in name only agent station,never participated in any activities,the vast majority of people still alive to review have been punished,most of them will be classified as secret agents or counter revolutionaries.After 1980s,Yangzhong county government began to organize the preparation of the county and the history of the revolution,are examined in the cultural revolution of the underground party members,be justified in these materials,to confirm the identity of the communist.Some of the masses,though registered in secret service organizations,have served the New Fourth Army in the course of the revolution,and they have been rehabilitated in these materials.
