| In terms of the TV play art, 2003 was an extraordinary year. The Secret History of Xiaozhuang Queen directed by You Xiaogang initiated a new wave of historical teleplays, and it quickly became popular among people of all ages. Its influence subverted people’s habitual thinking towards the historical TV plays. With the hot broadcasting of TV play, the books, CDs and other derivatives were quite welcomed,and since then, You Xiaogang gradually determined his positioning of secret history types, and formed a unique You Xiaogang’s secret history series. This paper focuses on the six secret history serials directed by You Xiaogang and views these as a whole to conduct analysis and research. Based on the details and the phenomenon, this paper analyzes the way for the director You Xiaogang to deal with emotions and expressions to add exuberant vitality into his secret history series, thus puts forward to include the“entering into the plot” into the TV audience research category. The related theory of guiding the audience to enter into the plot is further explored. As the descriptions related to love, family and nation can stimulate the audiences’ emotional experience in every secret history serial, emotion focuses of secret history serials about love, family and nation are summed up, but the way to guide audience’s entering into the plot depends on technical power of the director. Through analysis and research, it learns that a reasonable lens strategy is the magic weapon for the success of You Xiaogang’s secret history serials, and gets a profound understanding towards the emotional connotations conveyed through scenes, which can not only be accepted by the audiences but also can exert some influences on their emotional experience.The paper can be divided into four parts. The first chapter is mainly to discuss the basic theory of entering into the plot. Through the analysis of the audiences’ aesthetic perception and aesthetic understanding, audiences’ emotional responses to the aesthetic perception and understanding are drawn, and then the theme of entering into the plot is defined. After explaining the basic processes of it, the paper seeks for some theatrical elements which encourage audiences to enter into emotional experience easily according to the dramatic characteristics of TV plays. Finally, emotional focuses widely existed in the secret history serials related to love, family and nation are thus concluded. The second chapter to the fourth chapter elaborates focuses of love, family and nation, respectively. Firstly, it finds out a theoretical support ofreasonable transfer for each emotion. Then according to these six serials, lens strategies the director adopted to express these three focuses accurately, what kind of emotional reactions these strategies have aroused respectively and whether they can eventually reach this goal of entering into the plot are analyzed in details. |
