| Husserl carried out a research on the “parts and wholes”in the third study of Logical Investigations. The third study is divided into two chapters, the first chapter is“The difference between independent and non-independent objects”,The second chapter is “Thoughts towards a theory of the pure forms of wholes and parts.” In the first chapter, he considered parts can be divided into independent and non-independent objects, independent and non-independent contents can be objective description by the aid of Stumpf’s examples,Husserl unfolded critique on the view that wholes and parts was understood psychology laws. The distinguish of independent and non-independent is essential, which based on pure genus, species, difference. It is precisely because of this,Husserl entered into the field of pure essence in the second chapter, where he by means of “foundation” described the innate rules of parts and wholes,so as to formalize them. The laws of the“parts and wholes”,which are about the object category, and their pure formal theories belonged to the part of the formal ontology finally.Formal Ontology analyzes the priori laws, these rules and analysis related to object category, regardless of all material.Husserl considered those relevant independence laws are comprehensive innate laws, and the concept of the foundation is the purely formal presentation of the concept of independence.Although the relationships about the foundation were related to independence, but those about “wholes-parts” theories are purely priori analysis of the laws, that established on the basis of foundation.Husserl hoped to accurately establish a pure doctrine of the theory of wholes and parts by the way of mathematical deductive inference in the third study. In the third study, only in the section 14,where is the first time by the way of mathematical deductive inference(“The concept of foundation and some relevant theorems.”),this section is completely mimic the way of mathematical writing. He just presented only partially theorems about the “parts-wholes”on here, which still unable to provide the“closeness and integrity of the system”of the “parts and wholes”,but these generally explore is already sufficient to indicate his basic views. |
