Social intelligence is one communicative skill that it is important to contact people under the interpersonal situations.It defined as the intelligence that person processes social information appropriately,control and express emotion correctly,and take effective behavior.It consists of alleviation of communicative anxiety,thinking themselves into others’ minds and imaging them into other people’s places,social insight,interpersonal communication,and solution of interpersonal relation problem.Limited group sand-play therapy is one new game theory on the basis of traditional sand-play therapy that simulates real-life situations and has rules of qualification.It works on an unconscious level and projected technique,with some limits of rules,to train and promote interpersonal skills,alleviate communicative anxiety and improve relationship aiming to strengthening the cohesion of the team.The purpose of this paper is to prove that whether the limited group sand-play theory could improve the level of social intelligence for elementary students in the Grade Three or not from both quantity and quality prospective.In the terms of quantity,Questionnaire on the Social Intelligence between children designed Liu Jinhua was used to investigated the intervention effect of sand-play theory for them before and after the limited group sand-play theory.At the same time,according to the process of the game,the changes of their behaviors as well as the content and subject of the final production.We aimed to renew one effective intervention technique to train and improve the level of social intelligence for the elementary students in Grade Three.Results: The level of alleviating communicative anxiety is significant difference:t =-2.854,df = 19,p < 0.05;The ability of thinking themselves into others’ minds and imaging them into other people’s places improves significantly:t =-3.584,df = 19,p <0.001;The level of interpersonal communication is significant difference:t =-3.454,df =19,p < 0.001;The ability to solute interpersonal relation problem improve muchsignificantly:t =-6.362,df = 19,p < 0.001.Therefore,the whole level of social intelligence can enhance very prominently.But the ability of social insight cannot change much.Conclusion:(1)The limited group sand-play theory could improve the level of social intelligence by means of alleviating communicative anxiety,considering themselves into each others’ mind more frequently,improving the skills of interpersonal cooperation and enhancing the solution of interpersonal relation problem.(2)It effects boys as well as girls.
