The Lightning Protection Design And Experiment Of The Rotary Drilling Rig Electromechanical Control System

There are over 8 million lighting happening every day on the earth,and the number is increasing with the “Hot Island Effect” caused by the expanding of cities.More and more heavy machinery become larger and imbedded low energy consumption,miniaturization and highly integration electronic component lead to a higher rate of lighting shot on the heavy engineering machinery.The lighting became more and more hazard to the heavy engineering machinery due to the rate of lighting shot on the heavy machinery is increasing.This paper utilized theYT900B-crawler rotary drilling rig manufactured by Zhengzhou Yutong Heavy Industry Co.Ltd as an example,assessed its lighting hazard and analyzed the system damage of the rotary drilling rig caused by lighting and high voltage.Then the lighting protection technical program has been made and this project have been conducted based on the studies.The lighting conducting device,ground device,lighting electromagnetic pulse shield system,Surge Protective Device(SPD)have been investigated and designed.Thus,the lighting protection system of rotary drilling rig has been successfully constructed and applied on the electromechanical control system of YT900B-crawler rotary drilling.After the design,the whole system has been tested in a Lighting Protection Products Testing Center;the results showed that the design purpose has been achieved.YT900B crawler lightning protection equipment,electric control system of rotating drill is pioneering lightning protection equipment at home and abroad,the design and research has certain theoretical significance and engineering value.This system can be used in a variety of engineering machinery,through technology development,provide security solutions for engineering machinery safety.
