Design Of Safety Monitoring System For Elderly Bathroom Space

The problem of population aging has become a trend which is sweeping the globe.China is also stepping into the rank of the aging countries.With the prominent increasing trend of the urban aging,population aging,especially the life care problems of elderly people,has become the important issue that the public have to concern and deal with.Bathroom space is an important activity space which is closely related to the life of the elderly.Bathroom security is particularly important.Considering the physiological recession in the elderly,they need more safe,convenient,reliable and comfortable bathroom system.Along with the growth of age,the physiological and psychological aspects of the elderly have different degrees of decline.Physiological abilities include: learning ability,athletic ability,visual,auditory,tactile,osteoporosis,lumbar disc herniation,hypertension,high blood sugar and other physiological diseases.Psychological abilities include: mental cap-acity,cognitive ability,memory,judgment,logical thinking ability and other mental fun-ctions.So security has become an important issue in the design process of the elderly bathroom products.The application of design theory must be based on the basis of safe use.Through the analysis of the physiological,psychological characteristics and behavior of the elderly,based on the theory of ergonomics,design psychology and barrier free design and related knowledge of intelligent hardware field,aiming at the safety problem that may be encountered in the process of bathing for the elderly,this paper will complete the design of the bathroom safety monitoring system to meet the needs of older people at a higher level of safety bath,and try to create a safest possible elderly bathroom environment.
