Tectonic And Design Of Space-A Study Of Mateus’s Work

The paper aims to study the tectonic strategy of space of the Portuguese architect Aires Mateus.The thesis will use the research results of "the space,tectonic and design" of the team of Professor Gu Daqing in the Chinese University of Hong Kong as the research method of this paper,through the methods of drawing,graphic analysis and scene remodeling,to discuss how the Aires Mateus develop space concept into a figurative construction,and sum up the architect’s design techniques and characteristics.The thesis consists of five main chapters:The first chapter introduces the research object and the background,expounds the research results of Aires mateus,states the research significance and research frame of this paper.The second chapter introduces the method of research,discusses the contents and characteristics of space construction theory,and discusses its feasibility as an architect’s analysis and research method.The third chapter discusses the basic space operation method of the architect,summarizes the architect’s work cases and carries out simple drawing analysis,and concludes the basic characteristics of the architect’s space operation,including the selected elements in design,the types of operation techniques and the main operation methods.The fourth chapter discusses the architect’s space construction strategy,selects six typical cases of architects to carry out selective analysis,and shows the development process of space from concept to architecture by combining the analysis of picture and text.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the research,to summarize the architect’s construction techniques and characteristics of void space,to compare the differences and the characteristics between the research contents of this thesis and the current research results,and to elaborate the enlightenment of the research contents on the future design practice.The thesis tries to make breakthroughs in two aspects:one is to make an effort for the enrichment of the research results of the Aires mateus,and the second is to combine the theory of space construction with analysis to practice and apply them,hoping to make some little efforts for the improvement and expansion of theoretical study.
