As the essential common part for movement and power transfer in machinery and equipment,the transmission performance of gear reducer has a major impact on operating performance of equipment.Performance test of reducer can not only verify the design and manufacturing results,but also is an necessary approach to check whether products are qualified.The constructed general test platforms and some special test platforms are the current main forms,which have some shortcomings such as inconvenience to install and adjust,poor test accuracy or narrow application range and poor scalability,etc.So,it’s of great theoretical significance and practical value for evaluating the transmission performance of reducers and exploring high-performance gear transmission to carry out the research on the new performance test platform.A gear transmission performance test CNC platform was developed in this paper.The coaxial,parallel-axial,intersecting-axial and staggered-axial micro reducers can be tested through the position adjustment of tables by the CNC system.The main contents are as follows.(1)Aiming at the structural features of different types of reducers,The structure of test platform is put forward based on comparisons and the appropriate positioning tables are selected.Modal analysis of the proposed platform is carried out,the calculating method of joint part stiffness of cross roller linear guide way is put forward based on the Hertz Contact Theory,The finite element model of platform at limit position is established,the natural frequencies and modal shapes of platform are obtained.(2)The PC & Independent motion controller for CNC system hardware structure is confirmed.the structure principle of semi-closed servo control system is analyzed.The parameter setting and I/O ports configuration of ACR9000 motion controller is worked.The PID parameter of platform under actual conditions was tuned acco rding to PID control principle.The servo performance of high precision and high response is obtained.(3)According to the test function of platform,the Language VB.NET was applied for software system design.The software interface is also designed based on the main function modules,.Specially,the communication module,position adjustment module and platform protection module are designed and analyzed.The accurate and reliable operation of CNC system can be realized.(4)The calibration and adjustment of platform is finished.The transmission efficiency test of harmonic gear reducer and worm gear reducer prototype is carried out,respectively.at the same time,the vibration test of tables is worked.the results show that the developed platform has excellent dynamic performance and the ideal test function can be realized.
