Energy issues has become one of the most highlighted problems in the world.China's economic and social has developedinto a phase of high energy consumption,thus we must pay great attention to the rational use of energy as well as energy conservation.Gas becoming an important part of the daily energy supply and a necessity of people's daily life.The city gas network is combined with people's everyday life.To be one of the earliest cities to use gas,the gas network and facilities in the early residential area in Beijing is showing ageing characteristic.Accidents as simply as a leak might cost tremendous lost economically and put the lives of residents in danger.Thus,the reconstruction of the gas system in the early residential area has drawn the most attention of the whole gas industry.This article is based on the research of the current situation of the gas networkin the early residential area in Beijing.By analyzing and studying the traditional transformation program for in the early residential area and combined with the “four new” method developed during the years of improvement of the gas industry and practical engineering in the gas industry,it will analyze the traditional and new method program both technically and economically.And will summarize the advantage of the new method in social adaptability,the use of energy,safe and reliability as well as ensuring the social and economic benefits.We hope that this article provide reference on how to select the best transformation program for in the early residential area in Beijing.
