Correlation Between Engineering Change Based On Government Engineering Construction And Construction Cost And Its Countermeasures

Engineering change management is an extremely important job in investment control of the project.A large number of unreasonable engineering changes will lead to the serious loss of control of the project’s investment management,and thus a good management on engineering change is meaningful to construction cost control.Serious situation of over budget of construction cost appears frequently in government engineering construction management of S development zone in Suzhou,which means that some problems are existing in engineering change management.Therefore,combining with the actual situation of engineering construction in S development zone,this article will study and analyze the correlation between engineering change and construction cost and its countermeasures.Combining related theories of engineering change with the actual situation of engineering change of project of S development zone,based on the theories of connotation of engineering change,classification and evaluation,and risk analysis,with statistics of engineering changes in 200 projects of S development zone,this paper selects four of the project cases,change study the factors affecting engineering,engineering change reasons,conducts detailed analysis of the factors,causes and types of engineering changes,found out the main factors affecting the engineering changes,including the construction unit,changes of work range and increase of sporadic projects,and so as to find out the main problems in engineering change management and construction cost control management in S development zone.Finally,on the basis of the analysis of engineering changes,this paper proposes countermeasures to strengthen the engineering change management in terms of four aspects,including strengthening phase control of engineering changes,strengthening control of the type of engineering changes prone to occur,introducing evaluation system of engineering changes and construction cost and optimizing the process of engineering change.Combined with engineering examples,these countermeasures are more targeted and have a strong maneuverability.It is hoped that these countermeasures play a role in promoting engineering project management and engineering construction cost control in S development zone.
