Fashion trend prediction is a practical subject.Accurate clothing fashion trend prediction system can not only help fashion designers and clothing manufacturing enterprises to effectively grasp the fashion trend of clothing market,but also improve the design level of fashion designers and the independent research and development capabilities of clothing manufacturing enterprises.At present,China has become the largest clothing consumer and producer in the world.With the deepening of economic globalization,the competition and challenge which Chinese clothing industry faces are also increasingly fierce.China is actively developing from a big garment country to a powerful garment country,and the ability to lead the fashion trend of clothing industry is necessary to be a powerful garment country.In Chinese clothing industry,the womenswear market occupies a considerable proportion.If the womenswear companies can keep up with the fashion trend,or even accurately predict the fashion trend,it will bring tremendous improvement for the design,production,supply capacity of womenswear enterprises and enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese womenswear enterprises,and thus greatly promote the development of clothing industry in our country.However,the brand womenswear in our country generally has a relative weak ability in forecasting the fashion trend.It mainly depends on imitating the products of international leading clothing brands or the personal experience of fashion designers.The accurate and effective prediction method of womenswear fashion trend is needed.First,this thesis gives an overview of clothing fashion trend and prediction,especially introduces the characteristics,contents,influencing factors and relevant forecasting systems at home and abroad,and illustrates the contents,rules,channels,methods and steps of clothing fashion trend prediction.At the same time,an overview of wave theory is given,and its purpose,background,basic forms and characteristics as well as limitations are introduced.Then,based on the existing sales data,this thesis establishes the wave theory which accords with the fashion trend of womenswear design elements.Based on the fashion trend of womenswear design elements,this thesis carries out the fashion trend forecasting model of womenswear design elements based on wave theory.The stripes in the pattern and the lace in the style are used as the experimental objects to verify the correctness and feasibility of the entire forecasting system.In this thesis,the proposed forecasting method of fashion trend of womenswear design elements based on wave theory first uses the fashion wave theory of womenswear design elements to roughly judge the development of fashion trend,and then combined with the Fourier series fitting model to make the fashion trend prediction of womenswear design elements more accurate.Next,this thesis builds the knowledge base of popular womenswear design elements on the basis of the related concepts of rough set theory,and develops the popular rules of womenswear design elements by combining the information of knowledge base,and analyzes how the rough set theory and the wave theory make the prediction process and results more straightforward and simple.The last,combining with the actual womenswear brand-Miao Sen Hua Jing,this thesis gives the appropriate and effective guidance and advice to this brand based on the theories and methods proposed in this thesis.The fashion trend forecasting system of womenswear design elements based on the wave theory can analyze each fashion trend of various womenswear design elements.The popular rules of womenswear design elements based on the rough set theory can point out that which combination of womenswear design elements will be popular.The wave theory helps the designers focus on the popular womenswear design elements,the rough set theory helps the producers choose the most popular combinations of design elements and apply them to the latest products.This thesis focuses on the womenswear,and takes the patterns and styles of womenswear design elements as the research objects,establishes the forecasting method of fashion trend of womenswear design elements based on wave theory and the popular rules of womenswear design elements based on the rough set theory.From the results of researches and analysis,the wave theory of womenswear design elements and the rough set theory of womenswear design elements not only get the verification of historical data,but also provide the guidance and basis for more specific prediction models and popular rules.This thesis provides a complete set of procedures for predictions and rules of womenswear fashion design elements,and can effectively help designers,predictors and other related practitioners to improve the accuracy of predictions and rules of womenswear design elements.In the future,we need to further collect data to study a more comprehensive and general trend forecasting system,so that the forecasting system shows better handling ability and identification ability in the face of unexpected data,and shows better analytical ability and judgment ability in the face of unpredictable factors.
