The raw material is taken from Gu Jiatai iron ores form Laiwu area.Based on analysis of ore mineralogical properties, this article copper in iron ore flotation reagent system an process flow of flotation under the test research ,and the mechanism of the flotation uder single mineral flotation test,absorption measurement, contant angle measure -ment and infrared spectrum analysis.The process mineralogy research showed that, copper grade is 0.1391%, the copper minerals contains both sulfide copper such as Chalcopyrite and molybdenite, and copper oxide minerals such as malachite, for 65.89% of copper sulfide and copper oxide share of 34.11%.The copper sulfide contained in the ore have a close symebiotic relationship with magnetite and pyrite and the gangue minerals calcite,dolomite.Chalcopyrite is in irregular granular, disseminated distribution, and the dissemination size of chalcopyrite ranges form 0.1 to 0.01mm, which disseminated extent in 0.1 mm above the chalcopyrite accounted for 9.2% , 0.1-0.05mm accouted for 13.1%,0.05-0.01mm accouted for 45.5%and 0.01mm below the chalcopyrite accounted about 32.3%.Chalcotite content less than 1%, which is xenomorphic granular,disseminated, group distribution, and the dissemination size of Chalcoti-te ranges form 0.08 to 0.01mm, which disseminated extent in 0.08mm above the Chalcotite accounted for about 10%, 0.08 -0.0 5mm accouted for 12.2%,0.05 -0.01 mm accouted for45.6% and 0.01mm below the Chalcotite accounted about 32.2%.Pyrite is in hypidiomorphic -xenomorphic granular, disseminated distribution, and the dissemination size of pyrite ranges form 0.1 to 0.01 mm, which disseminated extent in 0.1 mm above the pyrite accounted for about34.5%, 0.1 to 0.038 mm accouted for 38%,0.01-0.038 mm accouted for 18% and 0.01mm below the pyrite accounted about 9.5%.The copper sulfide minerals and copper oxide minerals were separated by different chemical systems by using the asynchronous separation process; Finally, the optimum technological condition was deter-mined, the roughing flotation of copper sulphide: The best grinding fineness is that particles whose size is less than 0.074mm account for 75.21%. The most proper pH value is 11.5. The dosage of sodium butyl xanthate is 26g/t, the cleaning floatation of copper sulphide:The best grinding fineness is that particles whose size is less than 0.074mm accounted for 90%. The most proper pH value is 12, The dosage of sodium butyl xanthate is lOg/t, take CMC and sodium silicite as depressants and its dosage are lOg/t and 200g/t. Copper oxide roughing flotation used sulphide flotation, take sodium sulphide and ammonium sulface as mixed activators, and its dosage is 60g/t, the dosage of sodium silicate is 250g/t, the dosage of hexametaphosphate is 200g/t, Take sodium butyl xanthate and sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate as mixed collector, and its dosage is 7g/t.Copper oxide cleaning flotation:Take sodium butyl xanthate and sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate as mixed collector, and its dosage is 4g/t, take sodium silicite as depressants and its dosage is 90g/t, take s Sodium hexametaphosphate as dispersant and its dosage is 70g/t. Finally we get copper grade of 12.96%, the recovery rate of 62.43%.Flotation test indicate that sodium butyl xanthate is absorbed on the surface of chalcopyrite by chemical adsorption, and its collecting ability is better than butylamine aerofloat.So it is suitable for the bulk flotation of copper sulphide, butylamine aerofloat has a better selectivity than sodium butyl xanthate, can be used for the separation of chalcopyrite and pyrite flotation stage.Mineral absorption measurement and infrared spectrum analysis indicate that in the process of copper oxide flotation,sodium sulface and ammonium sulfate mixed as activatate ,the effect of flotation has been significantly improved .
