In recent years,with the tool usage continues increasing and the continuous development of modern processing technology,tool technology is also asked to continuously improve.In-depth study of the tool,so that people become increasingly aware of the main factors of the tool cutting performance and tool life,In addition to the tool material,tool macro geometry parameters,the tool structure and cutting parameters optimization,tool edge micro-geometry is also very important.Researching from the macroscopic geometry and processing parameters,gradually deepening to the study of tool edge micro-geometry.Tool edge micro-geometry,should be completed by the tool edge honing process.However,the existing honing process has some of shortcoming,such as low efficiency,tool consumption,and the edge shape is unstable,etc.Current situation of Carbide gun drill cutting edge honing is inefficient,high consumption of grinding wheel,difficult to control edge shape.In view of current situation mentioned above,advancing that combining the electrochemical methods and mechanical means to apply to the carbide gun drill edge honing.Experimental design and laboratory equipment for this edge honing process methods,and exploratory experimental study will be done.The new technology of this subject is divided into feasibility explore and principles,design and manufacture of experimental programs and equipment,implementation of the experiment and data measurement,conclusions and Prospects,etc.After completing the installation of laboratory equipment,the experiment can be done.This process is including electrochemical and mechanical removal these two steps and determining the mechanism of Electrochemical process as the focus of research.During the experiments,the other parameters fixed,select voltage U and power-on time t are the changeable parameters.Each experimentation of parameter combinations,measuring the tool edge shape,parameters and morphology of photos by measuring device.From the experimental data and pictures,it comes to a linear controllable law of electrochemical part.After summary and comparison,it proves that this new method is controllable,high efficiency,low cost.And it could resolve existing problems of carbide tool edge honing.
