With the coming of the information age,Home Health Care plays a more and more important role in the medical and health services.Medical model also have a huge change and more and more researchers pay attention on Home Health Care.The current Home Health Care rarely involves the movement detection.However,according to clinical medicine,there is a strong correlation between many diseases or body function degradation and body movement.At this background,this paper presents a Smart-Belt for measuring body center of mass trajectory and angle.The belt is mainly composed of Xsens company’s MTx series measuring units and primarily used an acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor.It is mainly used to measure acceleration and angular velocity values at the body center of mass(COM),where the angular velocity value is used to calculate the angle change when walking.In order to get the center of mass trajectory and angle,the proposed algorithm principally includes four steps: the one is to deal with the average.The two is to reduce the influence of the gravitational acceleration.The three is to reduce the influence of special points by the least squares curve fitting.The four is to integrate.In order to verify the correctness of the algorithm,this paper uses angle ruler and high precision VICON motion capture system and the result show that the body center of mass trajectory and angle from the algorithm have high accuracy.According to the trajectory and angle,this paper makes the evaluation parameters of gait and balance ability and designs a GUI analytic system.This system not only can provide reference for therspist and rehabilitation treatment,but also can be used for patient to measure the abilities of gait.This paper collected 35 testers’ gait data and conducted classification statistical analysis.Analysis results show that the research not only can be used for individual analysis and also can be used for analyzing a group gait and body balance.
