Microbial fuel cells could utilize organic matter in wastewater as swin wastewater to output electric energy. Also, Compared with the traditional wastewater treatment which use free chlorella as its microorganism, Immobilized Chlorella technology used in wastewater treatment can solve the trouble that free chlorella exist in wastewater.as for that the treated water do not need further processing.What’S more, The Chlorella can be used as bio-diesel materials. Combined microbial fuel cell with Immobilized Chlorella technology not only can make organics,nitrogen and phosphorus in piggery wastewater remove, but also can generate electrical energy and bio-energy. Research maked up a wastewater treatment system called immobilized chlorella microbial fuel cell to treat swine wastewater.Used the Immobilized Chlorella microbial fuel cell system to treat simulated wastewater,the results showed that the final output voltage was 541 mV when The external resistance is 165Ω. The final effluent water quality was COD: 240mg/L, NH3-N:160.5mg/L, TP:24.85mg/L; the removal rate was COD:90.23%, 61.51%, 63.19% rspectively. The average number of chlorella in Immobilized pellet was 1281.04, advancing 7.15 times. The cumulant of chlorophyl a was 217.25*10-6mg, enhancing 8.987 times. Further more, the density of Immobilized pellet increased by 14.17%.The experiment studied on three influencing factors as N:P, the input amount of Immobilized pellets and intensity of illumination, which can influence the effect of piggery wastewater treatment. The results showed that the optimal treatment conditions were as follows: N:P=2:1, the input amount of immobilized pellets was 4000, and the light intensity was 7532 Lux.The Immobilized Chlorella microbial fuel cell treat actual swine wastewater before regulation pool which got from a pig farm in wannian-a country of Jiangxi province. Startting up the Reaction device, after 105.5h,the immobilized chlorella microbial fuel cell achieved stability.its output voltage was 571 mV. The average number of chlorella in Immobilized pellet was 765.63 and the cumulant of chlorophyl A was 217.25*10-6mg.they increased 3.89 times and 8.99 times respectively.
