With the development of computer and network technology, the digitized level of information is becoming increasingly higher, which brings about varieties of data and amounts of data that is increasing exponentially. The emergence of cloud computing not only provides a blue print for big data storage, but also makes searching and caculating on big data possible. As is known to us all that cloud computing is composed of amounts of computing nodes, which makes it possible to store mass data and caculate complex jobs parallelly in different computing nodes in cloud computing platform. However, the mass data inevitably contains the user’s privacy information meaning confidential information that is important and unknown to others. More importantly, it will cause immeasurable loss if any of these confidential information is cracked or acquired. So data privacy protection has become one of the hottest research areas in the field of information security. This thesis analyzes the characteristics of homomorphic encryption algorithms in demand of cloud computing performance and data security and implements parallel processing encryption algorithms based on Hadoop platform that is cloud-based platform. The thesis mainly analysizes homomorphic encryption algorithms, and then selects RSA public key encryption algorithm as the prototype for parallel encryption algorithm and improves an integer-based homomorphic encryption algorithm.According to the distributed feature of cloud computing, a parallel homomorphic encryption scheme based on the MapReduce parallel framework of Hadoop was proposed. The concrete parallell homomorphic encryting algorithm was implemented, and theoretical analysis was given to prove the security and correctness of the algorithm. Evaluation experiments on the cloud cluster consisting of four computing nodes with total 16 CPUs showed that the parallel homomorphic encryption algorithm can reach the speed-up radio of 13. The evaluation result shows that the proposed algorithm can reduce the time cost of data encryption and be applied to real-time applications.
