The explosive spreading of rumors in the current Social Networking Services(SNS) networks has attracted wide attention, so that the research of rumor spreading mechanisms and models for controlling the propagation of rumors is of great significance to our society.The existing models always use rumor-spreading models designed for traditional society network, which is unsuitable for depicting the characteristics of message spreading in SNS networks and explaining the explosive spreading of rumors in SNS networks. In addition, the research on how the relationship between individuals affects the spreading process of rumors in social network is not too much. To solve the problem, we establish an improved model to study the rumor-spreading process in SNS networks considering conformity phenomena. At last, we discuss the characteristics of rumor spreading in weighting SNS networksAccording to the conformity phenomena in the social networks, we establish an improved SIR rumor spreading model and the corresponding dynamical equations based on complex SNS networks by considering three factors, including the rumor containing global information, the scale of SNS network, and the diversity of individuals, which affect the conformity phenomena in the SNS networks. The new model can give an actual description of the amplitude effect of the rumor spreading caused by the conformity phenomena.By Monte Carlo method, we perform simulations on the evolution process of rumor spreading. The simulation results show that, for the rumor having a high spreading rate, there is little room to increase its spreading rate. The rumor having a low one can increase its spreading rate more easily, thus the more people repost the rumor, the larger amplification the conformity phenomena will bring, and the less time will cost to reach the peak of the rumor spreading. Expanding the scale of the SNS network will weaken the amplitude effect of the rumor spreading. In addition, in the heterogeneous SNS network, the earlier the star nodes repost the rumor, the less time will cost to arrive in the stable state of spreading process, regardless of whether or not considering conformity phenomena. However, rumor spreading starting from any node has no effect on the final spreading scale. Therefore, we can obtain a conclusion that our new rumor spreading model with time-varying rumor spreading rate considering conformity phenomena is more appropriate to describe the characteristics of rumor spreading in SNS networks.In order to study how the relationship between individuals affects the rumor spreading processin social network, we establish a new model based on weighted homogeneous network. The result of simulation show that under certain conditions the rumor spreading process in the equal-weighting SNS network is same as that in weighting one.
