| With the development of UFH radio frequency identification technology, it is very popular in many fileds,such as security, medical treatment, warehousing, logistics, and transportation and so on. In the ultra high frequency band, the widely used two standard protocols at home and abroad are ISO/IEC18000-6B and 6C. In order to adapt to the strategic development of RFID technology in China, our country has started on the implementation of GB/T29768-2013 and GJB7377.1-2011 UHF protocol standards in 2011 and 2014. But after the standards published, the RFID readers, which is compatible with the above three kinds of standard protocol, is quite rare.Therefore, the design and implementation of a RFID reader using the above three standard protocol is very meaningful.Research on this topic has been made under such background. Through the comparative analysis of the physical layer and protocol standards’ working mode of GB/T29768-2013, GJB7377.1-2011 and ISO/IEC18000-6C, the reader’s software system is divided into four parts, namely, the application interface module, parameter configuration module, RF control module and protocol processing module. The application interface module’s three sub modules, which are called the core state machine, serial communication module and command parsing module, have been analysied and implemented in this paper. In the protocol processing module, the mandatory commands of the three protocols are analysed and designed in detail, meanwhile, the time slotted random anti-collision algorithm and dynamic disperse shrink binary tree algorithm used for anti-collision in the three protocals also have been analysed and implemented. Through these efforts, the research and realization of multi-protocol UHF RFID reader software based on platform ZYNQ-7000 have been completed. The software,which is compatible with GB/T29768-2013, GJB7377.1-2011 and ISO/IEC18000-6C protocol, has the ability of single and multi tag inventory, single label’s reading and writing, locking, killing and other functions on these three standards.The test results show that the realization of multi-protocol UHF RFID reader’s software on the ZYNQ-7000 platform meets the original design requirements.With the gradual development of UHF RFID, it can be predicted that UHF RFID reader, which meets the needs of the GB/T29768-2013, GJB7377.1-2011 and ISO/IEC18000-6C protocols, will become the trend of multi standard.
