The sharp increase of the number of mobile applications attracts special attention on mobile application trust. It becomes more and more crucial for a user to know which mobile application is trustworthy to purchase, download, install, execute and recommend. This thesis presents the design and implementation of a trust-behavior based reputation system for mobile applications named Tru Be Repec based on an Android platform. The system can automatically evaluate a user’s trust in a mobile application based on application usage and generate application reputation according to collected individual trust information. We implement the system and evaluate its performance based on a two-round of user study. The results show that our system is effective with regard to trust/reputation evaluation accuracy, power efficiency and system usability.The author’s major contributions are outlined as follows:1. Independently implemented Tru Be Repec; We implement a mobile application on reputation systems based on trust behavior, and further according to the user survey tested the effect of the true system. We designed the system structure of a client and server. The client software-- Tru Be Repec-- can be installed and run on Android system. The trust behavior through automatic monitoring ways of tracking mobile users, in the premise of this way, Tru Be Repec improves the usability of the system without other interaction. According to the observation and analysis of trust behavior in a mobile device, Tru Be Repec can generate user individual timing of certain third party software trust value. According to the transmission to the credibility of service providing module personal trust values and/or user voting, RSP will credit status of the same standard of some third party software evaluation. In addition, RSP will strictly protect the user’s personal information and will be generated according to the third party software recommended personal trust behavior information to collect value.2. Performed the user study to evaluate the performance of Tru Be Repec with regard to its accuracy, efficiency, usability and social acceptance. Through user study to evaluate the performance of Tru Be Repec system in accuracy, efficiency, availability and social recognition degree. Through customer surveys to study the performance of ourTru Be Repec and acceptance. We collected the user’s personal information before starting the experiment, including age, gender, occupation, technical background, the use of three applications to mobile phone time, and most loved character. After this, we install Tru Be Repec on all participants’ Android system mobile phone for a week. During the survey, the user is completely in accordance with the normally use their mobile phone. After that, we use the process of each participant asked 15 questions. After completion of the experiment, we according to the data collected, the performance of Tru Be Repec in all aspects of the analysis. Finally, we conclude that the Tru Be Repec system of the third party software trust value and reputation value evaluation is consistent with the user subjective assessment.
