Since the 21st century, the development of the image processing technology is very rapid, and the application scope becomes more and more widely. In recent years, some experts and scholars try to apply the image processing technology to the biological field, and have researched some mature technologies and methods, which plays a very important role for the development of biological research. Among these studies, the use of digital image technology to deal with, identity, segment and count the biological cells, has become an important research topic.The number of milk somatic cells is a very important measure in the health of cow body and the quality of milk. On the basis of image processing technique, this paper studies the milk somatic cell image processing methods, the ideal processing methods are summarized and concluded through experiments and comparison, and the end the system are integrated by using GUI in MATLAB. This system not only achieves the purpose of using image processing technology in milk image, but also takes full advantages of the GUI’s clearness and animation, which makes some non-professionals can also process the milk image professionally.In this paper, the system synthesizes some classic and mature algorithms, which has realized some processing of milk images, including the basic operation, milk somatic cell division, the preprocessing, the morphology processing, milk somatic cell separation, somatic cell count, and so on. The integration system processing the milk image, not only improves the work efficiency greatly and saves the cost, but also avoids some mistakes of man-made count, which plays an important role of the development of milk somatic cell counting.To make people use the system more conveniently. The system is compiled into an exe file after completing the system. It can be divorced from the MAT ALB platform, and more convenient and quick when installating and using the system.
