The Post Digital Libraries era provides a great convenience for the users under the ubiquitous knowledge environment. At the same time, it also brings the crisis and challenges to the library’s future invisibly. People can get the information they need anywhere and anytime not be affected by time and space, so it reduces the independence on the entity of the library. Traditional library has a wealth of information resources, and the information services dominate, but with the development of science and technology and the change of the social needs, the service pattern of information resources as the center is disintegrating, therefore the library service concept also constantly improves and innovates. At present the public library should take advantage of an opportunity and seize the opportunity of the transformation to the third space to expand the scope of service, which not only provides the users with the space of learning and innovation, but should service as the place of public entertainment and relax. The research primarily studies the construction of the library’s new space service pattern in the Post Digital Libraries era. The new library should reform and innovate in threes aspects, environment, resources and service, to adapt to the rapid development of science and technology and economic culture in the future. And it also should provide more varieties of services for the society. The construction of the library’s new space service pattern is to make a free and open, comfortable and modern third space, then digging the ubiquitous social value to attract more people into the library. The research takes the Shanghai library’s “Creative ? New Space” as an example of case, showing the new resources, new technology and new experiences of the library’s new space for the users. In a word, the library in the 21 st century has not only books, but also more humanized and varieties of new services.
