| Known as the Long Term Evolution of3rd generation mobile system, LTE has been widely used around the world. With the increasing user requirement of mobile data service, deployment scheme of Macro eNB only can hardly meet the need, especially in the cell edge area. To solve the problem, Small cell(low power node) is introduced as an important means of improving the network performance in hotspot/indoor scenarios.In order to estimate the performance of Small cell, CMRI(China Mobile Research Institute) launched the Small cell technical research issue. This paper provides support from the theoretical and simulation level, which has significant application value. The paper’s main contents are as follows.This paper first introduces the background of the subject, the research status of Small cell technology and the concepts of radio resource management of Small cell, mainly discusses the technology of load balance, interference suppression and scheduling algorithm. Meanwhile, this chapter describes the simulation models and parameters for preparation.This paper then describes the main scenarios of Small cell as well as the hexagon sprinkle algorithm. Through simulation, we get the topological graph, coupling loss graph and SINR graph. Simulation results show that the coupling loss performance of Small cell is superior to Macro cell, but the performance of SINR is the same. Based on the study above, this paper introduces the intra-frequency/inter-frequency assignment scheme of Small cell and then presents a deployment scheme named’SINR+bias’. Researches show that the inter-frequency assignment scheme is better because of the low interference and the throughput can be improved when3-6dB bias is used in low-load scenarios.After that, this paper describes the interference in LTE introduced by Small cell and then presents the interference suppression technology named semi-static Small cell On/Off. This paper also presents the higher order constellation modulation(256QAM) scheme based on the low interference in Small cell Scenario3, which will improve the throughput and the spectrum efficiency. Researches reveal that256QAM has higher gain for system in Scenario3sparse.Finally, this paper summarizes all the research contents, and gives future research dirctions of radio resource management of Small cell. |
