The Application Research Of Visual Selective Attention In The Web Interactive Interface Design

The arrival of the information age, the information carried by the internet are becomingrich more and more. As the “medium”, the Web interactive interface base on information hasconnect users and information, but will become a complex, crowded environment. Whenusers was facing with this crowded environment, it is much more difficult to find important orneeded information. The user can’t find the information, or the design forms of informationdoesn’t cause enough attention. So the user losing the patience to find and generate anunnecessary psychological burden. From the view of a design to solve the problem is nolonger general purpose. Character is the user of Web interactive interface, so from the view ofusers to solve the problem is the fundamental approach. The designers and researchers shouldplay a status as “the thinker of users”. The vision is the first thoroughfare in an interactiveprocess between the user and Web interface, and starting from the user’s visual system todiscuss the Web interface design is becoming imminent.This thesis is base on the user’s visual selective attention as a main clue. Studying thedevelopment of its theoretical models, and cognitive forms, and the factors to make a “select”.Around the rule of “selectivity” and its performance during the interaction, analysis how todesign the layout and color and content in web interface to attract the user visual attention,and emphasize the initiative and the effectiveness on interactive process between user and theweb interface information.On the basis of the qualitative analysis, the author also choice the interface of “music”web site as the material to conduct an Eye-Test. The Swedish Tobii-X120Eye Tracker recordsthe testers’ eye movement behavior, and get the “Visual Heat Map” and the “Gazetrajectories” and other objective data. On the basis of the test results analysis, study the formsof web interface which impact of visual selective attention to make a choice, and summed toobtain the basic principles of web interface design under the studying of visual selectiveattention. The practical design will express and validate the conclusion in the end.
