MIMO technology can improve the transmission rate and efficiency of thecommunication system, it also has anti-multipath fading effect, simultaneously, hasa very high coding gain and diversity gain, so it is one of the key technologies of thenext generation communication system. CPM has a very high spectral utilizationefficiency and communication efficiency, in many areas of communications andtelemetry which has high data transmission requirements,it has been widelyused.This article will combine this two advanced communication technologies tocreat a higher transmission efficiency and better communication performance of thesystem model. However, due to the complexity and computational of demodulatedCPM techniques,it takes enormous difficulties for the actual application ofCPM,finally,in this paper,research algorithm of reduced the complexity and CPMdemodulation calculation.Firstly, the basic principle of CPM and MIMO are described. Mainly the basicprinciples of CPM and MIMO signals has be analyzed for the following work laid agood foundation.modeling on the CPM signal, and then from respect of transferredthe state, the principle of the modem, the maximum likelihood decoding algorithmand signal power spectrum of the CPM signal carried out a detailed analysis; Finally,a brief introduction of the basic representation of MIMO signals, elaborated threebasic principles of space-time coding.Secondly, This article will CPM technology used in MIMO communicationsystems. First we derive MIMO-CPM space-time coding design principles, and thencreat MIMO-CPM and MIMO-multi-h CPM system modeling and do performanceanalysis, and combined with the typical STTC space-time coding,we carry out thesimulation of error for the rate performance, the view from the simulation results,MIMO systems combined with CPM system of error rate performance is better thanMIMO technology combined with traditional linear modulation.Finally, the paper studies the CPM system with low complexity demodulationalgorithm. MIMO-CPM system by simplifying, its demodulation can be seen as a single antenna of the CPM demodulation system,so the study of low complexityMIMO-CPM demodulation algorithm is the study of low-complexity CPMdemodulation algorithm. This chapter introduces the basic principles of PAMdecomposition of single-index and multi-index CPM, and then introduce it into theCPM modulation and demodulation system, established optimal and suboptimalreceiver based on the decomposition of PAM; Finally,we do a theoretical derivationof its performance and carry out simulation with examples, the system in case ofloss of about1-2dB, greatly is reduced the complexity and computation of thedemodulation algorithm.
