Beijing as a national political, economic and cultural center, more and more large international competition has been held in Beijing, meanwhile, the management problems of the sports events’organization stand out increasingly. How to optimize the management system and improve the efficiency of management become so critical.In this paper, based on sports events project management theory, with Beijing marathon management system as the research object, using the method of documentary, expert interview and on-the-spot investigation method from the event management system, human resources management and competition management, marketing, logistics, information communication, risk management, event evaluation etc., on the basis of the following conclusions:1, Beijing marathon event management system more perfect, the marketization degree is high, but the examination and approval, game to determine the time and route of the key projects are still restricted by the Beijing municipal government, the serious influence organizational efficiency.2, volunteer recruitment methods are too single, not conducive to arouse the enthusiasm of society.3, event organization, personnel matching set is not reasonable, the tournament organizing committee administrative personnel too much, the actual event execute understaffed.4, event marketing management system is relatively mature, sponsors and media partners are higher revenues, the existing problems for the events surrounding the visible gap.5, Beijing marathon in the basic security has formed a relatively perfect management system, but for the contestants to provide better experience with event services aspects need to further strengthen.6, Beijing marathon information communication temporarily did not form a reasonable and efficient management system, the main problem for the event communication between internal and external co-sponsors, improper communication between organizers and public choice.7, Beijing marathon risk management system is not sound, organizers of risk estimate and was not well prepared solution.8, Beijing marathon evaluation system needs to be perfect, feedback of events involved in the main body, the competitors not enough attention. To solve above problems puts forward the following Suggestions: 1, narrow, and reduce the scope of government intervention or field, simplify the approval process, strong support from the government.2, expanding the social volunteer recruitment scale, fully arouse the enthusiasm of the social people from all walks of life, and enhance social charisma and participation.3, adjust the tournament organizing committee staff ratio, increase competition executive personnel, the balanced distribution of tasks, improve work efficiency.4, widen the Beijing marathon marketing channels, and develop appropriate games mascot souvenir, and other tangible products.5, strengthening the awareness of event related charter, optimization services, security during food, drugs is enough, for contestants to provide a better experience.6, to establish a reasonable and effective external information communication mechanism, optimizing the tour and communication between the public service platform.7, attaches great importance to the event risk management, establish and improve the risk management system, an effective evaluation of event risk, identification and control, risk transfer or circumvent scheme in advance.8 contestants, establishing the evaluation and feedback mechanism of competition, perfecting evaluation system, balance of social and economic benefits.
