Responsibility is an indispensable part in society for everyone. No matter what role one plays,anyone has the responsibility coinciding with the role. The social issues appearing in recent yearsas a result of demoralization indicate that more and more people ignore, flee and shirk theirresponsibilities. One’s irresponsible conducts usually bring great harm to oneself, the others, andthe whole society, such as the appearance of avian influenza, the accident of kindergarten schoolbus, doctor trafficking infants and so on. The sense of responsibility of the public attracted a lot ofattention from all sectors of the society. There is an urgent need for education for the sense ofresponsibility.Responsibility is not only a ethnic concept, but also a psychological andphilosophical concept. Responsibility is crucial for the human beings. The sense ofresponsibility and being responsible is an important difference between human beingsand animals. The responsibility of each person differ from each other. It is essentialfor everyone to take responsibility for the balance of the relationship between one andanother and the sound development of the society. A person without sense ofresponsibility is not a real human being.The cultivation for one’s sense of ostensibility is not the work of a single day. Itcan not be realized through the ideological and moral lessons in the school. Thecultivation for sense of responsibility should start from the childhood period, duringwhich one should receive the education and the training for responsibility. Family isan important place to cultivate moral quality for the younger generation. Parentsshould cultivate children’s sense of responsibility consciously when children are veryyoung. To cultivate the sense of responsibility only by school education can notachieve good results. The childhood period is a golden period to cultivate moralquality. Once missed, any other moral education can not make up for it.Parents should understand the ways, time and methods to culices children’s senseof responsibility in family life, take the responsibility to educate their children andfind an effective way for family education by means of knowledge.
