The large-scale mobility of farmers after the reform and opening up, sparkedsustained attention in academic circles, while the fishermen group which also flowsfrequently, did not obtain appropriate attention. In Island village, there has been thesocial phenomenon of it is both outflow and inflow in recent years, this is a newsocial mobility trend which is different from many inland rural areas, also it shows anew path and trend for the pre-flowing population. This study takes it as a startingpoint, in the guidance of domestic and foreign social mobility theories and practices,to make a on-site investigation in Changdao County to obtain primary material of theisland village population on social mobility objective status and subjective awarenessby using the method of questionnaire, literature and interviews, and by using thequalitative analysis of SPSS statistical software and quantitative analysis to study thesocial mobility of island fishing village population, including social mobilityobjective situation and subjective feeling of people for the social mobility, which arein the point of career’s change and region’s change, explore kinds of factors of theisland village population.In order to complete the study of social mobility of theisland village population from the viewpoint of subject and object.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction. First discussesthe research background, research purpose and summariz and reviews related theoryand research in domestic and overseas; And then put forward the research method,illustrates the research ideas and frameworks. The second part is the objectivecondition of the social mobility of island fishing villages’ population. This partreflects the objective situation of the social mobility from the three aspects of basicsituation, intergenerational mobility, and intra-generation mobility. The third part isthe subjective feeling of the social mobility of island fishing villages’ population. Thispart reflects people’s subjective feeling for social mobility from three aspects of socialmobility aspiration, social expectations and individual subjective satisfaction, in orderto comparing with the objective situation, then know the difference between thesubjective and objective situation. The fourth part is the influence factors of socialmobility of island fishing villages’ population. The fifth part is conclusion. The analysis revealed that the social mobility of island village population isactive on the whole, the upward trend of mobility is clearly. In terms of career’schange, the mobility rate of career is increase, the flow path is diversity. In terms ofregion’s mobility, the region’s mobility of island village population exist kinds ofdirections. This career’s change and region variation of island village show thetransformation of the island’s fishermen and the "modernization" process. In addition,the objective status of the social mobility, reflect and act on people’s subjectiveattitude, in turn, the subjective attitude also largely determines individual mobilitystrategy and region’s changes and the occupational status. In the process of socialmobility, people will eventually flow through self-selection and judgment, and thisself-selection is the final decision in the influence of various factors,such asindividual factors, family factors, social factors, policy factors, and environmentalfactors.
