| With development of the trend that the importance of culture teaching combined with language teaching is widely recognized, education of Chinese as a foreign language has become more and more important. Since Chinese Calligraphy culture could completely present the features of culture in China, Chinese Calligraphy Teaching can be seen as a key to understand the entire Chinese culture. In this respect, calligraphy teaching is of great importance for those foreign learners of Chinese, which requires their teachers should continue to explore new teaching method that is more suitable for Chinese calligraphy teaching in the process of teaching foreigners Chinese. With the use of literature research, comparative analysis and other research methods, this paper does specific research for the application of the teaching method of “performing another culture†based on the theory of “performing another cultureâ€, in which cross-cultural communication and cognitive psychology is used as well. This paper explores the theory of “performing another culture†teaching, the creation of “the third space†for calligraphy in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the application of different means of “performing another cultureâ€, and reproduction of culture situation in calligraphy from three perspectives: the diversity of culture, the concept of cycle of compiling culture, and the unity of knowledge of action. Thus it will provide reference for the improvement of Chinese calligraphy teaching in the process of teaching foreigners Chinese and realization of objectives for education of Chinese as a foreign language. |
