The group of writers "Angry Youth" are all the rage on the British literary scene of the 1950 s, It is a distinctive literary contingent on British History of Literature.Their representative works adopt a realistic approach to reflect the real social life of so-called "Welfare State" after World War II, as well as a wide range of mental life at the bottom of society ordinary Britons, but also reveals the pursuit of British young generation for changing the status and their life style. One of the outstanding artistic achievements of their work is to create a vivid and true "Anti-Hero" image.The group of writers "Angry Youth" created a large number of “Anti-Hero”image, the reason for creating these images, mainly due to political, economic and cultural aspects. Politically, The Labour Party and the Conservative Party have been in power following continuously, it does not eliminate the inherent class conflict;implementation of economic nationalization policy has not changed the situation of cyclical recession, can not escape the impact of the economic crisis. In the literature,Sartre’ s existentialist philosophy, philosophy of Schopenhauer’ s pessimism to some extent intensified frustration of British and the deep skepticism widespread world and society. At the same time, obscure modernism has lost readers of all ages, realistic re-boarded the stage of history,“Anti-Hero” character from the bottom of society became the protagonist on the literary scene.These “Anti-Hero” created by different authors, but they have some common features, such as the identity of humble little people, the performance of "anger", the climb experience of "Men of Cinderella". The literary value and practical significance of “Anti-Hero” image-building are worth reflecting, their “Anti-Hero” traits marks the liberation of ordinary people and the development of literature into a new phase; The practical significance is that it reflect the real-life picture of British society after World War II and all sort of social drawbacks of the 1950 s.The fictions to some extent reflected some real part of British society, because different writers have their specific environment and personal experience, these external factors has restrictions on the depth of their works as well as the richness of life and social. So their works are lack of proper analysis and criticism in the social reality.
