A Translation Project Report For Quality Management Manual Of Korean Foundation For Quality(KFQ)

With the deepening of opening to the outside world and the growth of international cooperation, China requires more advanced foreign management systems. Accurate and complete information which serves as the basis of mutual discussion has become a precondition to successful negotiations, and thus such translation of business negotiation reference text is born at the right moment.This translation project report is an exploration of business negotiation reference text translation under the guidance of functionalist theory developed from Germany in the 1970s-1980 s. Based on translation experiences and text analysis(of text type and linguistic features), the author summarizes difficult points(Translation of Nouns, Translation of Long Sentences and Linguistic and Cultural Differences)and lessons. Aiming at these difficult points and lessons, the author applies relevant translation techniques(Conversion of Word Classes, Division, Conversion of Sentence Members, Semantic Addition, Omission and Conversion of Impersonal Subjects) and gains enlightenment. Further more, the author presents personal thoughts on leftover problems in business negotiation reference text translation.This translation project report intends to lay a more solid foundation for practical translation, especially for business negotiation reference, and provides more researching materials in terms of the combination of translation theory and practice.
