In the present Chinese project management, progress control is always an important part of project management. Though most of construction enterprises attempt various methods to effectively control the schedule, the effect of schedule control is often unsatisfactory due to the limitation of many very complicated and constantly changing inestimable conditions, such as complex construction environment and many uncertain factors. Meanwhile, people’s subjective experience occupies a greater proportion in the control progress. The control effect, more often than not, depends on the controller’s level. Therefore, this article introduces the fuzzy intelligent control and case-based reasoning into the project scheduling so as to make the schedule control more intelligent and effective.The article firstly expounds the status quo of the traditional schedule control, analyzes its flow chart and defects, and bring ups the definition of project schedule fuzzy intelligent control. Then, in the design part of the fuzzy control system, it transforms the project’s real data into input variables of the fuzzy controller, develops a project scheduling fuzzy controller by reference to Mamdani-type inference engine, outputs the force of schedule control measures U with the help of the fuzzy controller, and makes use of Matlab program to simulate the controller and generate a fuzzy control query table. In the following case-based reasoning part, it infers schedule control measures by virtue of source cases from the case database, and modifies the output solution according to the rule from the rule base to determine the most suitable control scheme. Finally, in the design part of the control inference system, it employs Microsoft Visual Basic program to make a project schedule control inference system to realize the intelligentization of schedule control.The article innovatively integrates fuzzy earned value method, fuzzy control and case-based reasoning into the schedule control and its main achievements include designing a project scheduling fuzzy controller, making use of case-based reasoning technique to propose specific control measures against schedule deviation, and working out a project scheduling inference system.This article introduces artificial intelligence into the schedule control area and provides a new idea and method to the construction enterprises for project scheduling.
