| In recent years, computer technology has developed in a fast pace. Simultaneously, digital prototyping technology grows in a high speed and has gradually become a new method of developing products. It can help overcome some drawbacks of traditional product development, such as long development time, high costs and dependence on physical products and so on by using digital prototyping technology. In the design stage, digital prototyping technology can help detect problems and shortcomings which exist and could be corrected and improved quickly. Ultimately, designers can get new products which cater to the needs of customers. Therefore, this study can not only reduce design time, save product development costs, but also make the quality and performance of products improved and enhanced significantly. At the same time, it help enterprises possess more strength and capital in the market competition.Full face rock tunnel boring machine (referred to as the TBM) is a large factory mechanized tunnel boring system which link mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and laser technology together. The superiorities of TBM are high level of mechanization, rapid mining speed, short construction period, safe and stable working environment and high comprehensive benefits. Therefore, it has been the first choice of tunnel construction method and extensively used in the implement of major projects, such as the subway tunnels, railway tunnels, diversion works, urban drainage and sewerage systems and so on at home and abroad.The paper mainly studied the development of digital prototype which based on TB803E open hard rock tunnel boring machine produced by WIRTH.Firstly, according to the two-dimensional drawings of TB803E, establish and assemble the key components by using of three-dimensional modeling software Pro/ ENGINEER. The following step was to test whether the assembly existed interference, generate reports, revise mistakes and improve the design performance of the product. And it was time to create motion simulation by Pro/E Animation module to display the working process.Then, analyze the theory of broken rock and rock-breaking tracks of disc cutters. Based on the mechanical properties of rocks, it is of great value to research the forces of the tools, the unbalanced radial force and overturning moment of the whole cutter head of the TBM. The results could offer methods which helped optimize the plane layout of the disc cutters on the cutter head. Meanwhile the forces of the supported boots should be studied.Finally, the structure static analysis and modal analysis was made on the cutter head by finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench module. The analysis results could offer a reasonable theoretical basis for the structure optimization layout of the cutter head.Digital prototyping technology can be effectively and visually used to display TB803E’s functional simulation in this paper. This technique is not only applicable to the development of the boring machine, but can be applied to the research of other types of TBM. And it can be even extended to the study of the implement of other complex mechanical systems. Generally speaking, the research method and consequence in this paper are of great practical significance. |
