| Excitation system is an important part of the generator, as its running status is related to the safe and stable operation of generator and the power system.Thus,it is essential to monitoring the working state of excitation system at times. With the development of computer and multimedia technology, traditional analog instruments have been unable to meet the needs of users.And the touch panel computer,with its understandability, conveniece, nature, be gradually replaced by the man-machine interactive way.In this paper, based on virtual instrument, a monitoring system is discussed with touch panel computer as a platform. On hardware design, this paper has completed the hardware circuit desigh, which is comprised of microprocessor selection, analog acquisition circuit, the digital input circuit, CAN communication circuit and etc.. On the slave computer software, data acquisition and CAN communication software program have been completed according to the function that system needs. In the host computer hardware selection, the touch screen hardware parameters selection and system configuration have been done according to the requirements of the operating system. On the host computer software, the front and the back panel are designed by LabVIEW8.5 software, including the CAN communication, data processing, data display, switching action recording, fault data storage module and etc..When the excitation system fault happens, analysis system can analyse and deal with it which recorded data automatically at times. Thus, it can reproduce the analog waveform before and after 10 seconds, and access the recording of the switch action. The user can analyse operation statue of excitation system, and make sure the resean of excitation system fault quickly, which provides a quick solution platform of excitation system fault for maintenance staff, reducing the shutdown time effectively. |
