Color Application Of Urban Landscape In Xi’an

As an important carrier of urban culture and the important aspect of the urban landscape, the application of the color has a positive significance in the urban landscape.Color is filled with the whole city, through the city landscape. However, with the rapid development of the city, more and more problems appear on the color of the landscape.On the one hand, China’s current urban landscape color is in the chaotic state of disharmony because of the lack of effective planning and reasonable control. On the other hand, it presents the convergence trend due to the weakening and disappearance of the geographical features and the historical culture. The development of the urban landscape requires beautiful and harmonious color to satisfy people’s spiritual needs.Considering the features of color, we conduct research on the urban landscape aesthetic.Color is a very important study aspect.This paper is based on Chromatics. In the basis of basic knowledge of the color science and the color composition, the color application of urban landscape in Xi’an is studied by analyzing Xi’an city color. Xi’an is a capital of the world’s four ancient civilizations with 1100 years history, the city is located as "Tang-style international city".Gray, ocher, khaki are selected as the main colors of Xi’an city due to the natural,cultural and other social conditions in Xi’an construction and development process. In order to coordinate with the integral city color and highlight the distinctive geographical features, the unique "grey" style is formed. The application of Xi’an urban landscape color has the character of rehabilitation and innovation for the history, the planning of the city zoning and the perfect combination with the nature. It presents a wonderful picture. It includes the merge of Xi’an ancient architecture and modern building, the style of the old city and the new city, the interdependence of human resources and ecological resources.
